Batangas State University and National Sun Yat-Sen University Partner to Offer Dual Degree Program in Electronics Engineering for Graduate Students

Batangas State University (BatStateU) has recently made waves in the academic community for its excellent engineering programs and international recognition. As a CHED Centers of Excellence awardee, AACCUP Level IV candidate, and accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) in the United States, BatStateU has earned its place as one of the top engineering universities in the Philippines.

BatStateU’s College of Engineering, Architecture, and Fine Arts (CEAFA) has strategically partnered with several foreign universities to enhance its graduate programs’ research and academic capacities. The Electronics Engineering program at BatStateU has also established strong connections with industry players, universities, and stakeholders, providing its students with valuable opportunities to develop their research and academic capacities.

One of the significant outcomes of these efforts is the Dual Degree Program in Master of Science in Electronics Engineering (MSc ECE) and Doctor of Philosophy in Electronics Engineering (PhD ECE) at National Sun Yat-Sen University (NSYSU) in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. NSYSU is known for its excellence in engineering, marine sciences, liberal arts, science, and social sciences in southern Taiwan, making it an ideal partner for BatStateU.

BatStateU-The NEU has granted Full-time University Funded Foreign Scholarships to three deserving students: Oliver Lexter, July A. Jose and Ralph Gerald B. Sangalang enrolled in the dual degree program, pursuing their Doctorate degrees in Electronics Communication Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

The Dual Degree Program offers graduate students the opportunity to receive two Master’s Degrees or Doctorate degrees from both universities. Students enrolled in the MSc ECE or PhD-ECE programs at BatStateU can apply for the Dual Degree Program with NSYSU. Similarly, students enrolled in the MSc and PhD programs in the Department of Electrical Engineering or Institute of Communications Engineering at NSYSU can apply for dual degrees with BatStateU. Both can serve as host universities for the Dual Degree Program, allowing students to study in an international academic environment and gain valuable exposure to different cultures, research methodologies, and practices.

The Dual Degree Program is an excellent opportunity for graduate students to enhance their academic and professional goals. The partnership between BatStateU and NSYSU underscores the former’s commitment to academic excellence, global collaboration, and providing students with professional growth and success opportunities.

Thus, the University’s commitment to academic excellence has helped it establish a reputation as one of the top engineering schools in the Philippines. It is dedicated to providing its students with the best education possible through partnerships with foreign universities and industry players. Through these efforts, BatStateU aims to equip its students with the necessary knowledge and skills to thrive in the highly competitive engineering landscape in the Philippines and the world.
